NB. There are two Mobicel Clicka variations - A Nov 2015 and Aug 2014/July 2015 editions. If you flash the wrong one, you get a distorted display.

If you are just resetting a lost or forgotten phone lock, then use this package (it works for both models):

Below are steps to be taken to flash either of the Clicka models.

  1. Order, download and extract the ROM, Flasher & Driver
  2. Install the MTK VCOM Drivers included with the Flash Tool
  3. Open/Launch the FlashTool folder
  4. Double click 'Flash_tool.exe' > click OK
  5. Click on 'Scatter/Config file'
  6. Browse throw to the extracted ROM folder > open it > you will see: E233_VOO5_20151117.cfg
  7. Double click that
  8. Now click Options around the top left, > Under 'Backup and Restore (No action)...' select 'Backup -> Download/Format -> Restore'
  9. Click download
  10. Connect the Mobicel Clicka while it is off
  11. The download should complete in about two minutes
  12. Then you can disconnect and power on
  13. Comment below for any further needed help.

Hot News (SASSA card expiring December 2017).

SASSA wish to put it on record that no beneficiary of social grants will be affected by this expiry date. SASSA is in a planning phase regarding the future payment of social grants once the contract with the current service provider CPS (Cash Paymaster Services) comes to an end in March 2018. As soon as final plans are in place beneficiaries will be informed about the updating process later on in the year. So there no need to run for a renewal. See SASSA payment cycle for December 2017 HERE.
