Hi. If the device did not recently fall badly (in which case the camera connector may have dislonged and now requiring that the phone be disassembled fr the connector to be accessed and be re-seated properly0, them Go to:

Settings > Apps > the "All" tab > Camera > Clear cache.... and the retry the Camera app and observe

You can start off by trying out a device factory default reset if prior to having the device disassembled if the clearing of cache does not improve the Camera functionality's condition.
