Hey - Do the following

  1. Turn the device off
  2. Press and hold both the power button and the volume up button at the same time until the device turns on - the device should then display a triangle with an exclamation mark.
  3. Short press either Volume Up, Options touch button, or so to display the Android System Recovery menu
  4. The scroll with the Volume down key and highlight the "Wipe data/factory reset" option.
  5. Confirm selection by short pressing the Power button
  6. Scroll to "Yes --- delete all data"
  7. Confirm selection with Power button
  8. With "Reboot now" highlighted, short press Power button
  9. Device should be reset and the forgotten pattern gone

Hey Wellingtog - it is sadly still unclear whether this is owing to a bug on the system recovery partition files of the AG Chrome Selfie or what but if you only get "No"for your options, then you will consider the method here http://smallbusiness.chron.com/factory-resetting-android-phone-computer-71407.html as an alternative though it is rather more advanced that the former. Reply back as you get along.
