Hey Ryni - Safe Mode is triggered by inconsitancy detected by the system on a specific application (usually amongst the one you installed last). This app must be uninstalled first. Do try to press and hold the Power button for 8-10 seconds and observe.  You can also try clearing system cache if the issue appears to persist. Hard reset being the last resort.
