It has become evident that Nokia Asha 201 has a great software weakness. This Nokia model’s software tends to easily breakdown during normal use. Some of the common symptoms of the software breakdown alluded to are:
1. White screen when powered on (then freezing and would not respond to a normal power off attempt)
2. Freezing during normal use (Requiring a battery-pull restart/reboot)
3. Taking exceedingly longer (average of 30 minutes) to bootup after being powered on
4. Unresponsive phone feature(s) – e.g. Internet Browser, OVI Store, etc
When the above is encountered, the phone should not be thought to have died. There exist an easy fix to this. A software reflash is all it normally takes. This is yes and advanced task but certainly worth the effort. You will need a Computer, Phoenix Service Software, Nokia PC Suite, USB cable, RM-799 flash files and little guidance.
