Error messages

A while ago I tried to send an email in an area where my service was interrupted. I got a sending failed message. I deleted the mail from the outbox, but the sending failed error message continues to appear, even after rebooting. There is no message, so why do I still get this error?

Hi. Try the following: Settings > Apps > All > Gmail/Email > Clear cache >... reboot the phone again and observe.

Cleared all caches as suggested and rebooted. Still there. This is really freaking me out.

Noted. Is it the Gmail or the custom Email application? You could try clearing data in a similar manner for the app in question but then you will likely have to reconfigure your email account(s) on the app.

It's on my custom email application. I  cleared that cache as well, but it's still there.

By 'Cache' you mean cache indeed or you meant data? If you cleared data from the custom email app with no go, then download an app called 'App Cache cleaner' which will clear all applications' cache (user data is not affected by this). Then reboot and observe.

I meant cache, not data.

OK - I asked because I had suggested (on my 3rd last reply) that you try to 'Clear data' found just below 'Clear cache' as well and observe. That I expect should be able to correct the glitch in question.
