If your MTN Steppa tablet is freezing, locked with a forgotten pattern or you wish to gift with it, perfoming a hard reset may be necessary. To perfom the hard reset on the MTN Steppa Tab or Tablet, do the following

1. Turn the MTN Steppa Tablet off
2. Press and hold both the Volume Up key and the Power button key until the MTN Steppa Tablet vibrates twice
3. The Android recovery Menu is the displayed.
4. Scroll down using the Volume Down key and highlight the "Wipe data/factory reset" option
5. Short press the power button/key to select or confirm the highlighted option.
6. Scroll down using the Volume Down key and highlight the "Yes--- delete all user data" option
7. Short press the power button/key to select or confirm the highlighted option.
8. With the "Reboot now" option highlighted (scroll using the Volume keys to highlight it if it is not highlighted), short press the Power button/key to restart the MTN Steppa Tablet once the wiping is said to be completed
