hi can u tell me how to use fastboot

Entering Fastboot mode tend to deffer between device models. Below are some combinations

  • Power off > Hold Vol Up + connect the USB cable
  • Power off > Hold Volume Dow + Power > You get a logo screen > Connect the USB cable
  • Boot into recovery > scroll to 'Boot into bootloader' > Connect the USB cable

How to check if the device is picked up on fastboot mode

Launch ADB/Fastboot (this depends on which one you are using or installed  - some of the are Compact Fastboot, Minimal Fastboot, etc)

Type: fastboot > Click Enter

Type: fast boot devices

You should see something like: HT787HJ6878 device

"Some" of the things you can do with fastboot:

  • Wipe user data together with forgotten or lost screen lock
  • Install ROM partitions like: recovery, boot, system, etc
  • Unlock/lock bootloader
  • Wipe/format virtually any ROM partition

NB: It is necessary to have your device's USB drivers install for it to be picked up on fastboot mode. Also, not all Android device has fastboot mode.
