i have a mobicel solo that has custom recovery. it is rooted but the recovery does not work. i want to reflash my stock backup i made using mtk droid tools since my device comes up as mt6572. i tried using sp flash tools to flash the backup and when i select download nothing happens. when i connect it to the pc and hold the volume down key factory mode comes up and still nothing shows on sp flash tool. all drivers are installed.

Hi. Some tips

1. Release the Vol key as soon as connection is established via USB
2. If Vol- does not work, try with Vol+
3. Also, if you are on a 64 bit machine, make sure you disable signature verification first

You click Download first. But from you given accouts (factory mode & recovery mode) is sounds like you either hold ther power key as well or it gets engaged somehow and it must NOT. Only the Vol key.

Well if only vol- is pressed it boots factory mode. If i hold vol+ nothing happens. How long does it take to respond usually? I tried to flash stock recovery through the fast boot command but my fone does not support flash through fastboot do i boot to fast boot hold vol- and then connect maybe? The bootloader of my device is locked i donno if it'll help

Vol key before and through connection. It sounds like the Power key gets engaged as well. Because factory mode is accessed by Power + Vol Down key.

Buy since you are rooted, you could flash the recovery image using a Google Play app called Flashify

I have tried flashify and mobie uncle toos both give me an error. I suppose it has to do with the fact my bootloader is locked and could be a reason why i cant use flashify. My tablet also has the ubifs format so maybe it could be that as well?
