Make sure your phone is fully "charged!!!!" 

1. Switch off your ZTE Maxx Dual SIM
2. Press and hold the volume down together with the power button
3. Release when the phone lights up/vibrates
4. An android blue robot with a  red exclamation mark will appear your screen' then tab/short press the power button to enter the recovery mode.
5. Use only the volume down to move the highlighter or to scroll down. Use the volume up button to select or to confirm selection
6. NOTE: Once your ZTE Maxx is on the recovery mode' the touch screen won't be working, only the volume down [to move the highlighter] and the volume up [to confirm selection].
7. Press the volume down to scroll down to "wipe data/ factory reset" and then press the volume up to confirm selection.
8. Press the volume down to scroll down to "yes delete all user data" and then press the volume up to confirm. Once press the volume up do not interrupt' wait until it says "Complete" 
9. If complete press the volume down to move the highlighter to "Reboot" and then press the volume  up button to reboot your phone.
