Hi. This will happen if the battery-to-phone connection is not properly established. This can be caused by dirty battery or phone contacts. Remove the battery and inspect the terminals on both the phone or battery and wipe off any oxidation or dirt. In the extreme, this can be a bad battery or main system board.
