how can i hard resert my mtn steppa when the down volume key is not functioning.

I need another way to hard reset my MTN steppa   ,because the down volume key is not functioning

I know my password but the problem is that my phone notified me that its phone memory was low,after that I switched it off ,then when I switched it on again it opened displaying the MTN logo but the problem is that it does not open up to  the home screen  ,instead it keeps on switching on up to the MTN logo then start again repeating the same thing  .....am really confused
