How to enter the service mode on Ricoh Aficio SP?

Switch the machine off at the main switch, hold down the up and down arrows at the same time and the switch the machine on while still holding down the arrow keys. This works on many Ricoh Aficio SP machines.
Please refer to the Introduction Manual for some troubleshooting tips on the link

Could you please help me to get into SP mode on Ricoh MP2401/MP3601 for configuration my  new machine for first time as required by maker and I from Libya Mallitah Oil&Gas company and we do not representative from Ricoh at moment due country security status.

It seems like all Ricoh machines uses the same procedure to access the SP mode. Please comment the results below..
