Please note that performing a hard reset on your Boost mobile Pulse Retro will delete all data stored in phone storage and reset all settings to factory default.

Hi' Please let us know if the instructions below does not work on your Pulse Retro

  1. Turn off the Boost Mobile Pulse Retro [Press and hold the power and choose "Power off" from the options] If you are unable to turn off your phone due to a frozen screen then force the phone to turn off by removing and replacing the battery.
  2. Press and hold the Power key together with the Volume up key' This might take you either to Boot mode or recovery mode (if it takes you to Recover mode please skip to step 6)
    If the Volume up button + Power button combination does not seems to be taking you either to Boot/Recovery Mode' Please try the following combination
    => Volume Up + Power button (or)
    => Volume Down + Power button (or)
    => Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button
    (Please let us know which combination worked) Thank you
  3. On Boot mode you will be given 3 options namely:
    Recovery mode 
    Fastboot mode
    Normal boot

    Use the the Volume Up to navigate then the Volume down to select
  4. Choose Recovery mode. 
  5. You might be delivered to a no command mode but if not then ignore " Step 5". To by pass the  "No command" please try the following
    => tap the Power Key or
    => Volume Up + Power button (or)
    => Volume Down + Power button (or)
    => Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button
    (Please let us know which combination worked) Thank you
  6. In the Recovery mode use the following keys:
    Volume Up: To move the highlighter up
    Volume Down: To move the highlighter down
    Power key: To select/confirm action
  7. Scroll down to Wipe data/factory reset using the Volume down and press the Power key to confirm
  8. Scroll down to Yes -- delete all user data using the Volume down and press the Power key to confirm
  9. Factory reset should take less than 5 seconds 
  10. Press the Power key to Reboot system.
  11. Your Pulse Retro is now back to factory default.
