Hey Pamela, here are steps you can take:

  • Make sure you have the correct date settings
  • Make sure you have data connection - if the internet browser or apps like Whatsapp works, then data connection should be good.
  • Clear cache from Google apps like Gmail, Play Store, Google Play store
  • Remove and add the Google account again. If it is a primary account, you will have to add a secondary email before you will have the option to remove it.
  • Access the recovery mode/menu and wipe the entire system's cache partition
  • In the extreme, you may have to backup all and perform a hard reset - provided non of the above resolved the issue.
