GOLDAIR desk fan will hum while the blade is not running

It does not do it everytime but it will sadly do so when I need it the most. I am in Venda and it gets very hot this side. What could be wrong?

Hey - The problem is within the motor area and you thus may have to take it to a local appliances repairs shop if its condition is really bad and you are not a handy individual. Otherwise, pushing the blade with a wire from the back of it can fix the issue though temporally.
