All networks show, but ever since Telkom left MTN for Vodacom, I haven't been able to get a connection, When I search manually it shows all networks and yet I fail to connect it says  "can't connect to this network at the moment. try again later"

Try requesting new APN settings from Telkom or just reset the current settings on your phone: Go to settlings > more > Cellular network > (do turn on data roaming also) > Access point names > choose sim card if dual > touch the 3 dots located top right on the screen > Reset to default.
