I have over 4K unread emails and my notify just displays >4K instead of a specific numbe. I expect it to continue so until I have a thousand more and it will just go >5K. I there a way I can sell all and mark them all as read so my nofify can go back to telling me exactly how many emails I have unread. I do not expect this to happen again as I am now taking good caution to unsubscribe from promotions I have no interest in. Thanks.

Hey ChongYang, Visit your inbox in Standard View and not Basic HTML view.

  1. Click on the check box on the very top of all check boxes on the left of all mails (or on the tiny drop down arrow on the right of the same check box and the click 'All')
  2. You will then see the following line right above (and center aligned) of your very first email: "All 50 conversations on this page are selected. Select all X,XXX conversations in Inbox"
  3. Click the link that reads "Select all X,XXX conversations in Inbox"
  4. Click 'More' and then click on 'Mark as read'
  5. You will get a warning that the action will affect all X,XXX conversations - just click 'OK'
  6. Wait while the action takes effect - you get 'Loading...' as it happens
  7. After that, it will be done!
