How to troubleshoot LG air conditioner that can not turn on or start?

LED StatusAction to take
No light
  • Check if the circuit breaker to the air conditioner was tripped and reset if needed.
  • Check if the circuit breaker to the air conditioner was tripped and reset if needed.
  • Test the outlet with a small appliance or electronic device. If the wall outlet is not supplying voltage to power on the test device, then contact an Electrician.
  • If the wall outlet is working, press RESET on the power plug, then POWER on the air conditioner control panel.
LED is Green
  • Press the TEST button on the air conditioner power plug.
  • Press the RESET button on the air conditioner power plug.
  • Press the RESET button on the air conditioner power plug.
  • Press the POWER button on the air conditioner control panel. If the unit powers back on, the safety relay may have tripped causing the air conditioner to power off.
LED is Red or Orange
  • Press the RESET button on the air conditioner power plug.
  • Press the POWER button on the air conditioner control panel.

If the air conditioner does not power on, the unit will require repair service.
