Hey Kev' the Vodafone K4201 is made by Huawei and therefore the steps here http://techtutorials.pixxycreativities.com/2015/01/how-to-unlock-huawei-vodafone-k4201-usb-modems.html may be able to work. Its a free method. And as for the Alcatel modem, see the thread here http://www.nairaland.com/1817930/unlock-code-alcatel-one-touch and try the uncle sam tech.com forum as suggest. It is said to be free as well :)
