I am getting error code 1702, how do I remove it. Kindly assist

Hey Tinei. The error code 1702 is to say that the Waste ink Absorber is almost full. Try and cancel the error by pressing and holding the Cancel/Stop button for about 5 seconds if the printer will not print, scan or copy any more. Otherwise, you can access and clean the Absorber as per the tutorial here and find out how to reset error 5B00 /5B02 (the error code you will get when it shall be finally full) using a Service Tool software here if you mind having Canon doing it for you (at a fee).
