Hey Foffy, While cars have what they call a 'bumper-to-bumper' coverage type, manufacturers goes on to brake the building-blocks of theirs vehicles into groups and assign separate warranty periods to each group. The warranty period assigned to one group may be 2 years, another 3 years, others gets 5, 6 or 8 years. Also, the warranty period is also expressed in miles with a 'whichever comes first' at the end.
