I saw a parlamentary report kind off today and wonder what that should mean and how I will/can benefit from it

Hey Lungile, The following is the implication of the free WiFi program you are speaking of

  • This means access to the internet without airtime or data bundles on your mobile network SIM - this is probably intended the more for productive uses like school/educational related researches though. With that said, most non related websites will likely be excluded and will not be accessible though this network
  • You need to within the range of one of these hotspots to be able to connect thereto - think of it as the way Bluetooth works
  • You do need a phone/tablet (or a computer) that supports WiFi connectivity - virtually all touchscreen phones and tablet PCs sold these days support this WiFi connectivity.
