Hi. You can ideally download Whatsapp from the Windows Phone Store but you need to create and login to your Microsoft Account before you can use the Windows Phone Store.

1. If you have an email address, you can head straight here https://signup.live.com/ to create your Microsoft account using your existing email address as your username
2. A verification email will be sent to your email so make sure you have access to the email address you use as your username. You need to access that email and click on 'Verify...'
3. Then after you will be able to login to your Microsoft account from your Nokia Lumia
