data does not become enabled

Try this:

• Turn off your phone
• Remove the battery for 5 sec
• Put the battery back
• Press and hold the volume up button and the power button together.
• Release both buttons as soon as you see the recovery Manu pops-up.
• Use the volume buttons to navigate
• Scroll down to "wipe cache" and press the power button to confirm selection.
• Reboot the phone when done.

Please note that' data wont enable for as long as airplane mode is turned on.
