How do I connect and share data connection service of my Android Smartphone with my Windows 7 Laptop via Wifi?

Hi. Please kindly note that it is necessary to root certain Android-powered Smartphones prior to using them as Wifi Hotspots.

The following tutorial will walk you through both the setup and connection.

SETUP
On your phone launch Google Play Store > Tap the search icon > type Portable Wifi Hotspot and tap Go/Search > Tap on the Portabble Wifi Hotspot app to download and install it. Tap Open when done > check the Portable Wifi Hotspot box > Tap Portable Wifi Hotspot Settings > Setup Wifi... > down arrow and select WPA2 PSK > use your cell number as your password (you can use any other combination you can easily remember) > tap Save.
 
CONNECTION
On your laptop, Open the Wifi feature > Click on the Wireless Network connections icon > Look for your device's name > right-click on it and click Connect > Input the Wifi hotspot password also called Network key you set > hit Ok and you should be connect within 5 seconds or less.
