From 19 October, WhatsApp usage will automatically be free to all existing and new contract customers. WhatsApp will also be free to all Prepaid customers on MegaBonus, which already offers customers three times the value of their recharge.

Cell C WhatsApp users will be able to send pictures, voice messages, videos and text messages via WhatsApp absolutely free of charge without incurring any data charges. Prepaid customers who are not yet on Cell C’s MegaBonus, can simply dial *108# to benefit from free WhatsApp – and triple their airtime value.

I am currently on the Mega Bonus pre-paid service plan but I am not experiencing the free WhatsApp as advertised by the same SMS as shown above, couldthe problem be that I am using a tablet and not a cellphone?

Hey, According to the 13th Term/Condition of the promotion posted here http://www.cellc.co.za/whatsapp/terms , all customers must be active and have a positive balance (at least a minimum balance of 1c) to get access to the FREE WhatsApp Promotion. Please further comment below if you are still unable to benefit from this promotion in spite having a positive balance as stated above for further assistance.
