can i restore or hard reset my phone if the root fails?

Hi. While rooting is  normally of no complications, it is normally safer to take a firmaware backup. Again, while you can unroot a rooted phone, a reset by itself, does not revoke root rights.

thanks so if in the root process, a fail happened can i still use it?

I would strongly suggest a backup first if I must say. I have otherwise had root attempts failing several times on a Verssed device which still worked well after.
