Question

I have a new Defy Daw 387 10kg front loader. I removed the 4 travel bolts and connected the water supply, drain and electrical plug. I checked that the drum spins freely. The machine switches On and fills water into the drum and after a few minutes, it drains the water out and shuts off. This happens with clothes in and when empty on all the preselected programmes.

Hello

Sounds like a thermostat failure, "problems filling up with water for the rinse cycle" or "even pump that prevent your washer from draining". One thing that you can check yourself is the lid switch.
