Hi. Please comment below with the model number or name (like Mobicel Retro, Mobicel Metro 2, etc.) as seen on the white sticker under the battery and we will try and assist further. Sorry I missed the Retro on your post. The reset steps specific for this model are here http://www.satechhelp.co.za/2157/Reset-Mobicel-Retro-Factory-Default - yes it is necessary to factory reset it to clear the lost or forgotten login details. my mobicel vivo says i have to input my google account after i did the hard resetting, and i have forgotten the email, now i can't use my phone since then, please i need help...Thanks
