Hey Alida, nav to Settings > Apps > All > Launcher3 > Clear data... confirm. Restart the tablet and then observe. Kindly comment back with the results. See http://www.satechhelp.co.za/7948/Fix-Launcher-3-Stopped-Working-Android-Tablet

good day,

an update - eventually the android reboot helped... for like 10 minutes. my tablet was an obf is got exchanged. it had faulty software. so i am back to updating and setting my things up.
