I recently learned that certain Android devices will NOT allow manual adjustment of the 'date and time setting' - instead, their time and date depends on the carrier's network towers. This will be true with Cricket's ZTE Engaged if you cannot follow the tutorial on the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjXE9lKG_js entirely. Adjusting Date and Time is very possible with other devices running Android Jelly Bean like your ZTE Engaged.
