Hi there

I recently flashed my VF685 with stock firmware, using SP flashtool after my phone was bricked.

Now it seems my phone doesnt pick up my SD card, even in recovery when I want to apply custom recovery, it askes me to mount the SD card when it does sees the update package and fails to update it when selected.

Also, in Rootbrowser it sees the external SD as internal memory...

Any advice?

Johan

Hey Johan, please not that you will not be able to install a Custom Recovery through the Stock Recovy, as it is not capable. If ROM Manager gets to pickup your Root status, the use it to try and install the CWM Recovery. Othwise, flash its .img fils using SP Tool.

I rooted with Kingroot successfuly. I did flash recovery with flashify just now. That's sorted, however when I go to mount sd-ext it says SD not found. I did quick backup in recovery and it also said no external SD found so it skipped it.

If anything should happen to my phone and I need to do a restore from my external sd, would i then loose any back up made?

How do I fix this?

Flashify does it asewell. Just a quick test - try and different SD card and observe in the mean time. I mean to comment in depth shortly.

Hi

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have a 2g memory card which was never used and I tried it, still it responds the same.
I did some digging of my own, and found I can fix it via adb. Have not tried that method yet....

What do you suggest?

Hi. I'd say you give ADB a short if you had not already done. My duggestion involves starting over only with one more step. Auto format all partition except the Preloader using SP Tool. The flash or redownload the firmware using SP Tool as you had done. Then root, CMW and all.

Hi

Ok, i gathered this much.... My Sd card is partitioned as my internal storage.

I did what you suggested with no result and im even worse using ADB command.

Cant i just remove the whole mount, unmount android wizard thing from its build.prop so it just have a mass usb option... Lol. This is driving me crazy.

Ok, what should i do next?

Thanx a mill

Hi. Sorry for the rather delayed reply. Just wondering if this could be a firmware issue. There aren't much comments on the 4shared download page to draw any informative conclusion :(
