Hi, My name is Tadala and I was hi-jacked on the 04th of February 2016 and in the process I lost my Apple Ipad in which I had a cell-C contract sim. Now I had the number blocked however when I went to get a new sim, cell C says that I should pay R160. Can someone please advise as to if this is correct and why?

Hi. This is sadly the case and R150 is suppose to be administrative fee while the R10 must be for the SIM card - totalling to R160. Cell C will charge you a whooping R150 in admin fee for upgrading a contract as well. This used to be R200 in the past. While prepaid is virtually free, contract SIM swap or replacement  is steeply costly :(
