Hi. We have a few questions that should help us narrow down possible causes.

1. Does the new SIM works on other phones?
2. Do other SIMs work in the AG Chrome Ultra?
3. Do other netwoks work on the same Chrome Ultra.

the new sim works fine on my old phone. I tried an MTN sim and it worked fine.

Is the new SIM a micro-sized that uses a SIM adapter to fit into standard sized SIM slots or it is a fixed standard sized? Also, did you buy the Ultra new or second hand? Does the new SIM refuse to work on both SIM slots? Sorry for more questions.

its a fixed standard sim.I bought it new.Its the standard sized sim and i can only use it on the one slot.

Assuming CellC has worked in the same slot in the past. Two last questions, do you get an 'insert SIM' error or just no network/signal bars? Also, did you make the SIM swap following the CellC SIM's failure to function any longer?

insert sim error.I went to a cell c store and they suggested that i do a sim swap because my old sim could be faulty.

That makes sense. This seems to be a phone issue. If you could, I would suggest you try a couple more other SIMs (Cellc & Voda) in the standard sized SIM slot and observe. Then we will proceed to trying a hard reset should the issue persist. Also, if you can get one that uses a micro CellC SIM and you try it on the other slot - unless if the 2nd slot will not work if the other has no SIM.
